We planned to go to South Beach once again but didn't set a date. I wanted to sit with Uncle Fred, Christine and Rachel for advance planning. When I called Rachel about it, she gave me the news that she cannot join us. Her mom has been
diagnosed with high blood pressure with systolic-160 and diastolic-100. I'm not a health professional; I couldn't understand how risky it could be for a person. But Rachel was quite worried about it. "As Dr. Samuel explains it, high blood pressure is a serious condition and can lead to coronary heart disease, heart failure and renal failure any time," she said. "Now she has to having ongoing medical care."

How could I proceed with my plan for South Beach with Rachel? I dropped it. John could feel it. He wanted me to visit her place immediately. I have many friends,
some good friends,
a few nice friends but
too few best friends and
Rachel is one of them. With
Mothers Day approaching fast, I've been
missing my mom for the past couple of days. But as soon as I got this news I find myself missing her even more... I'm probably a little worried about her too. I want to see her again before Mother's Day. Dr. Samuel said that blood pressure tends to rise with age and mom is 54 already, although she follows a healthy lifestyle. Being a HBP patient, you need to
lead a healthy life. It's not right if a doctor says you cannot attend a birthday party, but you do have to be choosy about your food choices. I think I can help people by relaying information and advice that Rachel gets from Dr. Samuel. Stay tuned...
